Dear friends of CCC who participated, prayed, and supported CCC’s 4th Annual Fantastic Home Facelift,

Thank you.  What a Fantastic day.  Four houses painted, gardened, and repaired.  Approximately 120 people at four homes loving and serving four widows.

One lady said she’s so happy she could cry.  One lady was crying cause her situation is so hard, but she was thankful for our presence,  concern, and love.  Another lady said this is the greatest gift people have ever given her.  The other lady was just so proud and thankful.

I saw God’s people reaching out together as a body, encouraging, and mentoring one another, while we follow James’ encouragement to enact pure religion: caring for the widows, etc.  While we were at work, I believe there was an answering (if even a glimpse) to Jesus’ prayer:

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one,
Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. (John 17:20-23)

Thank you for your friendship, support, and dedication to our neighbors.

To God be the glory.
