Ministries
Practical Needs
CCC assists churches, ministries, nonprofits, and local government agencies by coordinating and equipping their efforts for acts of service.
Furniture/Appliance/Household Item Distribution
Our staff coordinates and equips volunteers to pick up donated furniture/appliances and deliver those items to individuals with a substantial need. Household items are also available for a $5 donation at our office.
Disability Assistance (wheelchair ramp, grab bars, railing)
CCC provides two main services for disability assistance: home modification and equipment distribution. Home modifications include: wheelchair ramp, stairway and entryway construction, as well as the installation of safety railings, grab bars…etc. CCC also supplies medical equipment such as canes, walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, and bedside commodes, which are available at our office.
Service Project Assistance
CCC service projects include: yard/house cleaning, painting, and minor home repairs.
Bible Distribution/Prayer/Church Connection/Home Visits
CCC desires to meet the spiritual needs of our neighbors. Volunteer groups, upon request of the neighbor being served, provide emotional support, prayer, Bibles, as well as a personal connection to a place of worship. Personal visits to the homebound are also available.
Neighborhood Outreach
CCC holds four annual community outreach events where we get to know the neighbors we serve through vacation bible school, neighborhood barbeques, and fall/spring festivals.
Human Development Needs
CCC is interested in creating community, not dependency, so we offer human development tools for our neighbors.
$mart Shopper/Budgeting/Economic Development
We offer private or group $mart $hopper money management training. CCC also promotes economic development by promoting the trades of our neighbors, connecting neighbors with business development tools, and by investing in small economic development projects. An example is purchasing custom shirts from a woman who had located in Alachua County after being displaced by hurricane Katrina.
Internship program
CCC has an active mentoring/internship program during summer, school semesters, or any time a person can commit.
